About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Account Assistant to join our growing team in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of bookkeeping and accounting services to our clients. As an Account Assistant, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day financial administration, working closely with our experienced accounting professionals to maintain accurate records and provide excellent service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and bank statements
• Maintaining accurate and organised general ledgers and accounting records
• Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies
• Preparing and processing payroll information for clients and internal staff
• Data entry and input of financial information into accounting software systems
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports

What we're looking for

• Diploma/degree in Accounting (or equivalents)
• No working experience is required as training will be provided
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work
