ACCOUNT ASSISTANT

About the role

Mywisehome Sdn Bhd is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our accounting team in Taiping, Perak. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills and contribute to the financial operations of a growing organisation. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping and reporting. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and supporting the broader business objectives of Mywisehome Sdn Bhd.

Key responsibilities

• Recording financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and proper categorisation of entries
• Preparing and processing invoices, receipts, and expense documentation
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and verifying account statements
• Maintaining organised and up-to-date financial records and filing systems
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision
• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assisting with payroll administration and related documentation
• Performing general accounting duties such as data entry and ledger maintenance
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Liaising with internal departments and external parties regarding financial matters

What we're looking for

• A qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field (such as a diploma or degree)
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• A professional attitude with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger processes
• Willingness to learn and develop accounting knowledge further
• Previous experience in an accounting role or similar financial environment is advantageous
