Account Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an Account Assistant to join X Consultancy Group Sdn Bhd in our Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur office on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in accounting within a supportive and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate and organised financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Recording and reconciling bank transactions and statements

• Preparing supporting documentation and schedules for audits and reviews

• Managing general ledger entries and ensuring proper coding and classification

• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements

• Performing administrative tasks related to the accounting function

• Assisting with the maintenance of accounting systems and databases

What we're looking for

• Qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

• A professional approach and commitment to maintaining confidentiality

• The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations is desirable

• Prior experience in a bookkeeping or small practice accounting environment would be advantageous
