Account Assistant

About the role

An Account Assistant position supporting the company's daily accounting operations, mainly covering Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), payroll, staff claims and company expenses.

Key responsibilities

• Record and monitor customer payments and outstanding balances
• Update daily collections and payment records accurately
• Assist in following up on outstanding accounts when required
• Perform reconciliation of customer accounts and related transactions
• Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents before payment
• Maintain and update supplier payment records and outstanding balances
• Assist in preparing supplier payments according to the company's payment schedule
• Ensure paid invoices and payment records are properly updated to prevent duplicate payments
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies when necessary
• Assist in monthly payroll preparation and checking

About you

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with relevant accounting experience will be an advantage
• Basic knowledge of AR, AP and accounting principles
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software will be an advantage
• Careful, organized and able to handle confidential payroll and financial information
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to follow deadlines and maintain updated accounting records
• Responsible, willing to learn and able to work independently as well as part of a team
