Job Description – Account Assistant

Reporting To: Accounts & Finance HOD

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally.
• Record purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries.
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase bills and expense vouchers.
• Maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
• Track customer outstanding payments and coordinate for follow-ups.
• Prepare vendor payment details and maintain payment records.
• Perform bank reconciliation and cash book maintenance.
• Assist in GST and TDS documentation and reconciliation.
• Maintain employee advances, IOUs and expense settlement records.
• Prepare outstanding statements and routine MIS reports.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Sales and other departments for accounting documents.
• Maintain proper filing of invoices, vouchers and financial records.
• Assist in monthly account closing and audit documentation.

Required Skills

• Practical knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of GST, TDS and bank reconciliation.
• Accuracy in accounting entries and documentation.
• Good coordination, communication and follow-up skills.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or machinery company will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
