Account Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our team at PSS DEPOT SDN BHD in Butterworth, Penang. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations of our growing business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist the Account Executive in daily accounting tasks and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Prepare and process invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and delivery orders (DO), where applicable.
• Assist in recording accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and checking financial documents.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of invoices, receipts, payment records, and other accounting documents.
• Assist in preparing basic financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with the operation team on daily finance-related matters.
• Assist in verifying transactions and ensuring accounting entries are accurate and complete.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by the superior.

What We're Looking For

• Able to work 5.5 days per week.
• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, LCCI, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience. Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with AutoCount accounting software and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks and cooperate with the accounting team.
• Good communication skills and a responsible working attitude.
