ACCOUNT ASSISTANT (IMMEDIATELY HIRING)

About the role

This is a full-time accounting and bookkeeping position based in Damai Plaza Luyang, Kota Kinabalu.

Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.

You will assist the accounting team in executing various accounting and administration tasks, with a focus on accurate record-keeping, data entry, and transaction processing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist accounting team members to successfully execute various accounting and administration tasks
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, receipts, vouchers and payment records
• Record and update daily transactions accurately in UBS accounting software or other relevant systems
• Perform data entry in the UBS accounting system for e-invoice and ensure correct coding and timely posting
• Reconcile receipts and bank statements
• Prepare payment vouchers, cheques and any other payment instruments
• Work with spreadsheets, sales and bank statements
• Support the accounting team during month-end and year-end closing, as well as during audits
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior

About you

• At least 1-2 years of working experience in bookkeeping and accounting
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fields
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint) and UBS accounting software
• Strong communication and people skills
• Positive, proactive and eager to learn
• Fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage
