As an Account Clerk, you will review, research, and process unclaimed funds claims while providing assistance to claimants and reporting agents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Examine, review, verify, and process claims for unclaimed funds.
• Gather and evaluate background information and supporting documentation to determine claim validity.
• Ensure claims are processed in compliance with Ohio Unclaimed Funds laws, regulations, and established procedures.
• Communicate with claimants and reporting agents to obtain information, clarify discrepancies, and provide claim-related assistance.
• Analyze reports, claim forms, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct in-depth research to investigate and resolve complex claims.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming claimants, providing professional, courteous, and responsive customer service.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet at least one of the following qualifications:

• Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting.
• Two years of recent experience in accounting.
• Completion of undergraduate core coursework in business administration, economics, computer science, or a related field, including at least 16 semester hours or 24 quarter hours in accounting.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the minimum qualifications listed above.
