Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and proactive Accounts Executive to manage and coordinate the company's accounting activities. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payables and receivables, supporting monthly and year-end closing, and providing financial information to management.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, good analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with internal teams, project teams, consultants, contractors, and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations for the Group and its related entities.
• Handle full sets of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform monthly closing activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded within the required timeline.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, including outstanding balances and payment schedules.
• Review invoices, payment claims, supporting documents, and relevant approvals before processing.
• Prepare payment vouchers, journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting schedules.
• Monitor project-related expenses and ensure costs are properly allocated to the relevant development or project.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, banks, auditors, tax agents, and other external parties on accounting matters.
• Assist in cash-flow monitoring and preparation of payment schedules.
• Support annual audit, tax computation, statutory reporting, and other compliance requirements.
• Ensure proper maintenance and filing of accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and work with relevant departments to resolve them.
• Assist management with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related matters when required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Perform other duties and ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience handling full sets of accounts is preferred.
• Experience in property development, construction, project management, or related industries will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates pursuing or holding ACCA, MIA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
