Account Executive

About the role

This role involves checking and verifying accounting documents, invoices and supporting documents to ensure everything is complete and accurate. You will handle daily accounting entries and data entries, follow up on discrepancies or unusual transactions, and prepare financial statements and reports based on company and client requirements. You will assist in preparing and reviewing financial budgets from different departments and monitor actual performance against the budget, assist with clients' day-to-day accounting and finance matters, and analyze financial data to provide useful financial information to support clients' business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Check and verify accounting documents, invoices and supporting documents to ensure everything is complete and accurate
• Handle daily accounting entries and data entries and follow up on any discrepancies or unusual transactions
• Prepare financial statements and reports based on company and client requirements
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial budgets from different departments and monitor actual performance against the budget
• Assist with clients' day-to-day accounting and finance matters
• Analyze financial data and provide useful financial information to support clients' business decisions
• Handle other accounting-related tasks when required

About you

• Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant analytical fields
• 1–3 years of accounting or audit experience (added advantage)
• Experience in data analysis or financial analysis (added advantage)
• Good command of both Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, especially using formulas for data analysis
• Experience with accounting software (added advantage)
