Role & responsibilities

To perform booking-wise reconciliation of travel agent/OTA transactions and accurately map payments received against the respective bookings, ensuring all differences and unmatched items are identified and followed up.

1. Travel Agent Reconciliation

• Reconcile travel agent/OTA statements with hotel booking and financial records.
• Verify Assignment/Booking No., guest name, due amount, booking value and status.
• Check base value, commission %, commission deduction and net receivable as per records.
• Identify booking-wise short/excess amounts, duplicate, missing or incorrectly reported transactions.
• Prepare and maintain booking-wise reconciliation with clear status and difference details.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with the concerned travel agent/OTA for clarification and closure.

2. Payment Mapping

• Review payment receipts received from travel agents/OTAs and verify payment date, amount, payer and reference/UTR.
• Map each payment to the correct Assignment/Booking No. and outstanding amount.
• Allocate consolidated payments to multiple bookings wherever required.
• Identify short payments, excess payments, duplicate payments and unallocated/unmatched receipts.
• Maintain an accurate payment-mapping tracker and ensure mapped amounts agree with actual receipts.
• Keep proper payment references and supporting reconciliation details for all mapped transactions.

3. Key Excel Skills

VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, filters, duplicate checks, difference calculations and booking/payment-wise reconciliation.
