Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Account Executive to join our growing team in Negeri Sembilan. You will be responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts, financial reporting, and daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, be able to work independently, and ensure full compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Bank Reconciliation
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure timely data entry
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Prepare schedules and documents for external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and government authorities
• Assist in annual audits, tax computation, and statutory filings
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Assist in payroll processing, as well as statutory submissions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB

About you

• Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Hands-on experience in handling full set of accounts is mandatory
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Well-versed in Malaysian tax regulations, audit requirements, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and payroll processing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision, meticulous, and resourceful
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage
