What they need
Soilworks®, the global leader in dust control and soil stabilization products, is seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to drive sales growth across various industries. You will nurture leads, build long-term customer relationships, manage assigned accounts, and generate new business while helping customers solve dust control, erosion control, and soil stabilization challenges. You will own the sales cycle from discovery through delivery follow-up, combining technical problem-solving, proactive selling, and AI-enabled execution to turn customer inquiries into profitable sales and first-time buyers into lasting accounts.
This hands-on role is for a proven B2B seller who already uses AI effectively, learns technical concepts quickly, and takes ownership of results. Bring your sales judgment and technology skills to a role that rewards profitable growth, initiative, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead response and opportunity qualification. Respond promptly, with an initial response within one business day. Qualify customer fit, project needs, quantities, timing, budget, and purchasing authority. Use approved AI tools to prepare focused discovery questions and identify missing information. Manage phone, email, and digital follow-up, meet assigned daily outreach targets, and agree on a next step and follow-up date.
- Product recommendations and quotations. Learn Soilworks’ products and handle routine inquiries independently using approved guidance. Assess site conditions; calculate and verify quantities, application rates, and dilution requirements; explain equipment needs and application procedures; and confirm customer understanding. Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and bid responses covering products, quantities, pricing, freight, and delivery. Engage technical staff for complex or nonstandard conditions and apply updated product guidance and sales procedures promptly.
- Closing sales and protecting profitability. Present substantiated product value, address objections, ask for the order, and negotiate within approved authority. Follow up on open quotes, resolve buying obstacles, and record outcomes and lost-sale reasons. Meet or exceed assigned revenue, profitability, and conversion goals.
- New business and repeat account growth. Execute a sales plan combining outbound prospecting, dormant account reactivation, reorder outreach, and relevant cross-selling. Use AI to strengthen account research and tailored outreach. Build relationships with owners, contractors, engineers, consultants, resellers, and applicators; identify upcoming projects; and share customer feedback and competitive insights.
- Salesforce discipline and AI-enabled productivity. Record communications, requirements, quotes, and dated next steps promptly in Salesforce. Keep stages, values, close dates, and weekly forecasts current. Review AI-assisted summaries and suggested actions for accuracy. Develop repeatable workflows that improve responsiveness, record quality, and selling capacity without replacing personal follow-through.
- Order handoff and customer follow-through. Reconcile purchase orders with quotes, confirm availability and delivery expectations with operations and logistics, and coordinate fulfillment handoffs. Keep customers informed, follow up on outcomes, and escalate application concerns promptly. Apply weekly sales-review feedback and coaching, manage expenses within budget, and submit reports on time.
Skills and Traits:
- Proven B2B sales experience. Five or more years of inbound and outbound sales experience, including personally qualifying opportunities, preparing quotes, closing business, and growing accounts. Customer service or order processing alone does not meet this requirement.
- Measurable performance. Evidence of meeting sales goals, winning new accounts, and managing multiple opportunities with consistent follow-up. Explain your results and personal contribution.
- Sales and technical aptitude. Strong discovery, negotiation, objection handling, and communication skills; accurate work with areas, volumes, ratios, unit conversions, and pricing; and the ability to learn technical applications.
- Digital proficiency. Practical AI proficiency at hire and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems. Daily use of Salesforce is required in this role.
- Education or experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
Bonus Skills
Technical product, industrial supply, construction material, or environmental solution sales; hands-on Salesforce experience; and knowledge of dust control, soil stabilization, soils, or application equipment.
Artificial Intelligence Proficiency Required
Demonstrated generative AI proficiency is required at hire, not merely interest or willingness to learn. You must show effective, secure application to sales work and continue developing your capabilities as tools evolve.
- Apply AI to commercial sales. Research prospects, organize customer requirements, tailor outreach and proposals, prioritize quote follow-up, and identify reorder and account-growth opportunities.
- Build repeatable workflows. Provide clear instructions and relevant context, refine outputs, and use approved tools in daily sales work. Explain your process, its limitations, and how you evaluate its benefit.
- Verify before use. Identify missing inputs rather than inventing them. Independently check facts, product claims, pricing, freight, calculations, and recommendations against approved sources and calculation tools. AI output is not an authoritative source.
- Protect information and exercise judgment. Use only approved tools and authorized data. Safeguard customer, pricing, and proprietary information, follow company security, privacy, and acceptable-use requirements, and recognize when AI is inappropriate.
- Keep learning and improving. Evaluate unfamiliar capabilities, adapt workflows across tools, and share effective practices. Demonstrate improvements in time saved, quality, responsiveness, or selling capacity.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Based in the United States. Work centers on frequent phone and online customer conversations, computer use, quotations, and team coordination. Customer visits or industry events may require approved travel. Follow applicable site safety requirements.
