Account Executive

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the full set of accounts and support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare payment vouchers and assist in payments to suppliers and other parties.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with other account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules for management review.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records to support audits and compliance.
• Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, bankers, suppliers, and company secretary as required.
• Assist in budget preparation, cash flow monitoring, and other finance-related tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
• Perform any other ad-hoc finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience with AutoCount Accounting System is an added advantage.
• Good analytical, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willing to travel occasionally when required.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Candidates who are able to communicate in Mandarin are preferred as the role may involve liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Honest, responsible, willing to learn, and able to work under minimal supervision.
