Account Executive

About the role

Rx Nine Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Executive to join our Accounting department. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing essential support to our finance operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of our accounting processes and plays a key part in supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date and accurate
• Preparing bank reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies
• Processing invoices, expense claims and payments in accordance with company policies
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Responding to queries from internal departments and external parties regarding financial information
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation for audit purposes
• Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures
• Liaising with banks, vendors and other external parties on financial matters

What we're looking for

• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team member
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Professional approach to handling confidential financial information
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements
• Preferred experience: Prior experience in an accounting role or with accounts processing tasks
