About the role

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our accounting team on a full-time basis in Subang, Selangor. This is a key position within our organisation where you will play a vital role in managing accounts, supporting financial operations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. As an Account Executive, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality accounting services to our clients whilst maintaining strong internal financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions in accordance with company procedures and policies
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment management
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate salary disbursements
• Maintain organised and secure financial documentation in both physical and digital formats
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders on accounting matters
• Support audit activities and provide necessary documentation to auditors
• Identify and report financial discrepancies and anomalies to senior accounting staff

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk, or similar accounting role
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in financial records
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Professional integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
• Preferred: Experience with Malaysian accounting standards and regulatory compliance
• Preferred: Knowledge of payroll processing and tax compliance procedures
• Knowledge of SQL accounting software usage experience is a must
