About the role

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our accounting team in Kuching, Sarawak on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our financial accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Account Executive will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts and supporting the preparation of financial statements. This position is essential to maintaining the financial integrity of PIN YEN MARBLE & GRANITE SDN. BHD. and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and posting financial transactions accurately and timely into the accounting system
• Reconciling bank statements, supplier invoices and customer accounts on a monthly basis
• Maintaining and updating general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers
• Preparing trial balances and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements in compliance with accounting standards
• Processing payment vouchers with accuracy and attention to detail
• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records
• Maintaining organised and secure financial documentation and records

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Experience in financial accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or a similar accounting role is advantageous
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and financial reporting requirements is preferred
• Proficiency in Chinese, Malay and English languages, both written and verbal.
