Account Executive

About the role

Two One Management Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team in Kulai, Johor. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial accounting and reporting operations. As an Account Executive, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' accounting needs and ensuring accurate financial records and reporting. This position is based in Kulai, Johor and offers the chance to develop your expertise in financial accounting whilst working with a dynamic and professional team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledger accounts and reconciliations
• Process invoices, purchase orders and expense claims whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements and other financial accounts
• Support the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including payment processing and collections
• Perform data entry and maintain detailed financial records in accounting software systems
• Assist with audit preparations by gathering and organising supporting documentation
• Respond to client inquiries regarding account status, invoices and financial information
• Identify and investigate discrepancies in financial records and reconciliations
• Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures

What we're looking for

• A relevant qualification in accounting, finance or a related field (such as LCCI, AAT, ACCA or equivalent)
• Proven experience working in a financial accounting or accounts administration role, ideally 1-3 years
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data and figures
• A solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including reconciliation, accruals and the accounting cycle
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Professional demeanour and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop your accounting knowledge
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is advantageous
