Account Executive

About the role

You will play an important role in managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, with a focus on project-based accounting within our construction operations. The role involves financial reporting, project cost monitoring, statutory compliance, and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained in accordance with applicable Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Treasury functions
• Review and compile supplier invoices and subcontractor claims
• Ensure proper documentation (PO, DO, contract terms)
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue receivables
• Manage retention receivables and payables
• Reconcile debtor and creditor statements
• Maintain proper documentation for audit trails
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary
• Any other Ad Hoc tasks assigned by Finance Manager.

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy
• Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in construction accounting
• Familiar with GST regulations and Construction progress billing
• Experience with accounting systems (e.g., ERP, MYOB)
• Ability to work under tight reporting deadlines
• Strong understanding of project accounting
