Job Overview

FD Design, an architectural and design consultancy based in New Delhi, is looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accountant to manage routine accounting, financial records, bank reconciliations, and MIS reporting.

The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of Tally/Tally Prime, MS Excel, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. Candidates seeking either full-time or part-time opportunities are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accounting records in Tally/Tally Prime.
• Record and classify receipts, payments, invoices, vouchers, salaries, office expenses, and project-related transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash records, and credit-card statements.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, bills, payment records, and supporting documents.
• Track client receivables, outstanding payments, vendor dues, and recurring financial commitments.
• Update monthly expense sheets, budget reports, and MIS formats using MS Excel.
• Maintain records of salaries, insurance premiums, EMIs, recurring payments, and other financial obligations.
• Prepare monthly financial summaries highlighting income, expenses, outstanding amounts, and important variances.
• Organise financial documents and maintain proper digital and physical records.
• Coordinate with the company's Chartered Accountant (CA) by providing the required accounting data and documents.
• Identify missing documents, discrepancies, and pending entries, and follow up for timely resolution.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and salary-related information.

Requirements

• Practical knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
• Working knowledge of Tally/Tally Prime.
• Good command of MS Excel and financial reporting.
• Understanding of bank reconciliation, ledger management, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks within agreed deadlines.
• Honest, reliable, and capable of handling confidential financial information.

Preferred: Candidates with prior experience in an accounting role, preferably in a consultancy, professional services firm, or similar organisation.

Scope of Work

The role primarily involves routine accounting, reconciliation, financial documentation, and MIS reporting. Statutory filings and tax compliance will be handled in coordination with the firm's CA.
