Account Executive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join the finance team at China Pottery (M) Sdn. Bhd. in our Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur office.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the company's bookkeeping and accounting operations, playing a key part in ensuring the financial health and success of our growing pottery business.

What you'll be doing

• Handling all bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounts
• Preparing monthly and annual financial statements
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, such as the management team, to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of our accounting processes and systems

What we're looking for

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role, ideally within retail industry
• Strong proficiency in accounting software, such as SMART, and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills, with the ability to multitask and priorities effectively
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest accounting practices and regulations
• Relevant accounting qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance, would be an advantage
