ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

About the role

An experienced Account Executive role managing full set accounts and coordinating motor insurance claims while helping establish accounting and administrative processes for a newly established motor insurance agency.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full set accounts, including AR, AP, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and cash flow reports
• Manage daily accounting transactions, payments, invoicing, and financial documentation
• Assist with audits, tax submissions, budgeting, and statutory compliance
• Handle motor insurance claims, including own-damage and third-party claims
• Coordinate with insurers, workshops, adjusters, and customers to ensure timely claim processing
• Monitor claim status, follow up on outstanding documents, and update customers
• Establish and maintain proper accounting, claims, and administrative filing systems

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience with full set accounts
• Experience in motor insurance claims or the insurance industry is strongly preferred
• Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting practices and motor insurance claims procedures
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Mandarin-speaking ability is required
• Independent, meticulous, organised, and able to work in a newly established company
