ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

Job Requirements:
Qualification:

a. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor of Accounting/Finance/Business Administration)
b. Professional certification (optional but preferred): ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent
c. MIA membership (if in Malaysia) is an advantage

Experience:

a. Minimum 2-5 years' experience in accounting
b. Experience in construction, property, or project-based accounting is highly preferred
c. Familiar with progress claims, variation orders, retention sums, and subcontractor accounts

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:

a. Manage project budgets, cash flow, and cost tracking
b. Monitor and control expenditures on site
c. Prepare financial reports for management and clients
d. Ensure compliance with financial procedures and project limits

Billing & Invoicing:

a. Prepare and issue progress claims, tax invoices, and variation orders
b. Liaise with clients and consultants for payment certification
c. Track outstanding payments and follow up on collections
d. Coordinate with QS and site team for work progress data

Vendor & Subcontractor Payments:

a. Verify subcontractor claims, invoices, and delivery orders
b. Prepare payment vouchers and ensure timely disbursement
c. Maintain payment schedules and contracts

Documentation & Reporting:

a. Maintain all accounting records and supporting documents
b. Assist in audits and financial reviews
c. Ensure proper filing and compliance with accounting standards

Coordination & Support:

a. Coordinate with site and HQ teams on financial matters
b. Support procurement by verifying payment terms and pricing

Required Skills:

a. Strong knowledge of accounting software (SQL, UBS, AutoCount, etc.)
b. Good understanding of taxation (SST, WHT, etc.) and construction contracts
c. Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills
d. Ability to manage multiple projects/accounts simultaneously
e. Meticulous with high attention to detail
f. Problem-solving abilities and accurate technical decision-making
g. Firm, professional and consistent in implementing standards
h. Ability to work independently and lead teams when required

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sepang: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
