Account Executive

Account Executive, Media, Los Angeles

A well-established media company in Los Angeles is hiring an Account Executive to sell across its radio stations and growing digital portfolio. This is a role for someone who likes being out in the market, and building real relationships with local business owners.

The role

You will build and manage your own accounts, design campaigns that actually work for local businesses, and sell across radio, and digital advertising. Clients come to you for ideas, and you take them from first conversation through to a live campaign.

Day to day, you will:

• Prospect and build a client base through warm and cold outreach
• Develop marketing campaigns and present them to clients
• Write commercial copy and run basic marketing research to support your pitches
• Manage billing for your accounts
• Represent the stations at live events and remote broadcasts
• Grow both traditional and digital revenue for your clients and for the company

Who we are looking for

You are self-motivated, professional, and comfortable carrying a conversation with anyone from a first-time advertiser to a long-standing business owner. You are organized with your time, creative in how you solve a client’s problem, and you keep your momentum after a “no.”

What you need

• At least 1 year of outside sales experience, including calling on both warm and cold leads
• Discipline and drive to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and a professional presence
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
• High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation

Base salary plus uncapped commission.
