Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Executive with practical experience in GST compliance, general accounting, taxation, and financial documentation. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate books of accounts, handling GST-related activities, reconciling accounts, and supporting monthly and annual financial closing.

Key Responsibilities

*1. GST & Taxation*

• Prepare and assist in filing GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.

• Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase registers and identify ITC mismatches.

• Verify GST invoices, input tax credit (ITC), and tax calculations.

• Handle vendor GST reconciliation and follow up on discrepancies.

• Assist in GST payments, notices, audits, and other compliance requirements.

• Maintain proper records of GST transactions and supporting documents.

• Coordinate with consultants and auditors for GST-related matters.

*2. General Accounting*

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, and journal vouchers.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Perform bank reconciliation and vendor/customer ledger reconciliation.

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers, trial balances, and supporting schedules.

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

• Maintain accurate records of expenses, advances, and outstanding payments.

• Assist in TDS calculations, deductions, return preparation, and reconciliations.

• Support statutory audits and provide necessary accounting documents.

• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.

3. Project & Vendor Accounting*

• Verify vendor invoices, purchase bills, and supporting documents.

• Check GST details and accounting allocations for project-related expenses.

• Track vendor outstanding balances and coordinate for invoice discrepancies.

• Assist in maintaining project-wise expense records and accounting reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.

• 25 years of relevant experience in GST and general accounting.

• Practical knowledge of GST returns, ITC reconciliation, and GST compliance.

• Good understanding of TDS, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime and MS Excel.

• Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems will be an advantage.

• Strong numerical, analytical, and reconciliation skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to meet statutory deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in an EPC, construction, contracting, engineering, or project-based company will be preferred.

• Ability to independently manage routine accounting and GST-related activities.

• Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timely and accurate GST return preparation and filing support.

• Accuracy of GST input tax credit reconciliation.

• Timely completion of bank and ledger reconciliations.

• Accuracy of accounting entries and financial records.

• Timely closure of vendor discrepancies and outstanding items.
