Convergint is seeking to appoint an Account Executive to support the continued growth of its Data Centre business in Ireland.
This is a commercial role for a sales professional already working in the data centre sector who is looking to develop their customer relationships, build their account base and take greater responsibility for business growth.
The successful candidate will bring relevant sales experience, an understanding of data centre environments and the ambition to establish themselves further in the Irish market.
The Role:
The Account Executive will develop and manage customer relationships, positioning Convergint as a trusted security and technology integration partner across new-build, expansion, upgrade and service opportunities.
Working closely with commercial, technical, operational and global account teams, the role will involve identifying opportunities, developing proposals and progressing sales activity. The successful candidate will have responsibility for agreed accounts and opportunities and will support other sales colleagues on large-scale opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with new and existing data centre customers in Ireland.
- Build contacts across security, operations, procurement, construction and design teams.
- Identify opportunities across physical security, access control, video surveillance, perimeter protection, service and maintenance.
- Understand customer requirements and work with internal teams to develop appropriate solutions.
- Prepare proposals and contribute to bids, presentations and commercial discussions.
- Progress opportunities through the sales process, from qualification through to negotiation and close.
- Support other sales colleagues on large-scale opportunities, contributing to customer engagement, bid preparation and sales coordination.
- Support regional and global account activity involving Irish customers.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, a qualified pipeline and reliable forecasts.
Experience Required:
We are looking for a candidate with direct sales experience in the data centre sector, including with a supplier, contractor, integrator or service provider supporting data centre customers.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Experience working within a sales team and following an established sales process.
- A record of contributing to sales targets and developing customer relationships.
- Experience qualifying opportunities, preparing proposals and progressing deals.
- Discipline in CRM use, pipeline management and sales forecasting.
- A working knowledge of data centre environments and customer expectations.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and operational colleagues.
- Experience in security and technology integration would be an advantage. An established senior-level network is not required.
Candidate Profile:
This role will suit a sales professional who is building their position in the data centre market. The successful candidate will be comfortable working to targets, managing opportunities through defined sales stages and contributing to regular pipeline and forecast reviews.
They will bring commercial judgement, strong follow-through and a collaborative approach, with the confidence to take responsibility and support colleagues on larger opportunities.
Direct sector experience is required, together with a foundation in structured, team-based selling.
Why Convergint:
Convergint is a global security and technology systems integrator with a strong service culture and deep expertise in complex, high-assurance environments. This is an opportunity to develop a commercial career within a growing international business, working alongside experienced colleagues and supporting major data centre customers in Ireland.
