Account Executive or Assistant

About the role

This is a full-time Account Executive or Assistant role with KEM Secretarial Services Sdn Bhd, based in Skudai, Johor. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting services to small businesses, including bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients
• Preparing and processing invoices, receipts, and payments
• Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns
• Providing administrative support as accounting team as needed
• Communicating with clients to address their accounting-related questions and concerns
• Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices

What we're looking for

• At least 2 year of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting assistant role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Autocount or SQL
• Good understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant accounting qualifications or certifications (e.g., DIP/LCCI in Accounting) would be an advantage
