Established in 2025, Cambiaso Risso Hong Kong Limited is an independent risk consultant and insurance and reinsurance broker highly specialised in Marine Insurance. The Hong Kong entity is part of the Cambiaso Risso Group and plays a key role in supporting clients across Asia from our Wanchai office.

Start-up Context

This position is based in a newly established office. You will contribute to setting up processes, ensuring operational excellence, and providing multi-role support typical of a start-up environment.

Responsibilities

As an Account Handler, you will provide essential support to the Account Managers by working under their supervision and taking instructions from them. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of documentation, filing, and data processing.

Mainly but not limited to:

• Prepare documentation such as quotations, placement slips, schedules, cover notes, endorsements, addenda, closing slips, draft policies, debit and credit notes.
• Submit accurate documentation to ensure timely delivery to insurers and clients.
• Monitor client statements of account, input Marine Insurance underwriting data, manage filing and document retrieval.
• Process and distribute incoming correspondence for Marine Insurance business.
• Provide backup support within the department and assist with ad hoc administrative duties.

Education & Experience

• Diploma or Degree holders.
• Relevant experience in insurance broking or marine insurance is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of marine insurance including coverage for vessels, cargo, maritime liabilities, income losses, and P&I insurance and global market dynamics.
• Analytical skills to assess risks and identify coverage solutions.
• Fluency in English; Cantonese required; Mandarin is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word).
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Compliance & Licensing

• HK Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examination (IIQE) – Paper 1 & 2 required or willingness to obtain within 6 months (company sponsorship and study leave provided).
• Candidates must have the legal right to work in Hong Kong; visa sponsorship may be considered.
