Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home

Starting Salary: £25,000 + monthly commission and bonuses (increasing after probation)

On-Target Earnings: Circa £35,000 initially, with further earning potential

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Account Handler - to join an established and successful insurance brokerage in city of London.

This position would suit an organised, personable and commercially minded individual looking to develop their career within insurance.

The role will involve managing a portfolio of renewal clients, providing a high standard of customer service and working towards achievable monthly targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and broker approximately 20–30 individual renewal cases per month.
• Handle policies with premiums typically ranging from £250 to £5,000.
• Prepare and issue renewal invitations approximately 6–8 weeks ahead of renewal dates.
• Manage multiple renewal cycles simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the policy year.
• Handle mid-term adjustments, policy amendments and general client enquiries.
• Negotiate renewal terms and ensure clients receive appropriate insurance solutions.
• Work towards achievable monthly performance targets.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure a high standard of administration.

About You

• Previous experience within insurance broking, account handling or renewals would be advantageous.
• An interest in developing a career within Professional Indemnity insurance.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of cases.
• A professional, confident and personable telephone manner.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills.
• A proactive approach with the motivation to achieve monthly targets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.

Salary & Bonus Structure

The position offers an attractive salary package with clear progression following successful completion of probation.

Starting Package:

• Basic salary of £25,000 per annum.
• Monthly bonuses for achieving the monthly target.
• Additional % commission on performance above target.
