What they need

ABOUT US

Resolute Corp Bharat Private Limited is a diversified investment and venture-building group rooted in India, operating across fintech, consumer brands, and sports. This role is on the Resolute Corp payroll, with the incumbent deployed to lead finance for Hair Drama Co. — the Group's premium hair accessories brand, known for bold design and quality across a curated D2C and retail range, including its in-house manufacturing operations. The role reports into Group Finance.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Accounts Head — dual-qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost Accountant (ICWA) — to lead the finance function of Hair Drama Company end-to-end: accounting, audit, costing, and financial reporting. This is a hands-on role for someone with genuine manufacturing and costing experience who can bring the same rigour to a fast-growing D2C and e-commerce business, partnering closely with the CEO in shaping and executing the company's long-term financial strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Strategy & Business Planning

  • Own and drive the company's long-term financial strategy; build long-term financial models
  • Drive sustainable, profitable growth
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and support expansion into new categories and markets
  • Partner closely with the CEO on strategic and business decisions

Financial Reporting & Controllership

  • Overall supervision of financial accounting, including Trial Balance (TB), Profit & Loss (P&L), and Balance Sheet (BS); ensure timely monthly closure of books of accounts
  • Own monthly MIS reporting with clear commentary on variances and key drivers
  • Lead preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and track AOP vs. actual performance
  • Track Standard Cost vs. Actual Cost, investigate variances, and recommend corrective action
  • Prepare Quarterly and Annual Budgets and report Budget vs. Actuals to leadership, flagging risks early
  • Strengthen internal financial controls and documentation

Manufacturing & Costing

  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) costing and track BOM vs. actual variance
  • Oversee inventory management, including valuation, control, and reconciliation
  • Conduct physical verification of stock at regular intervals and drive corrective actions

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Own the company's cash position — cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, inventory funding, vendor and customer payment cycles, warehouse cash requirements, operating expenses, and capital expenditure
  • Liaise with banks for credit lines and other working capital facilities
  • Ensure a healthy cash runway and maintain optimal working capital

FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis)

  • Develop dashboards tracking revenue, gross margin (COGS), direct costs, contribution margin (channel-wise), EBITDA, net profit, burn rate, CAC, LTV, repeat purchase rate, inventory turns, and cash conversion cycle
  • Generate actionable insights for leadership from these metrics

E-commerce & Revenue Finance

  • Oversee accounting and reconciliation for e-commerce channels, including marketplace fees, returns, and payment gateway settlements
  • Review channel receivables against actual receipts; reconcile Sales vs. Actual Receipts across all channels, resolving mismatches with sales, operations, and banking teams
  • Monitor financial performance across channels — Shopify, marketplaces, retail, and international
  • Analyse product, SKU, collection, and channel profitability

Pricing & Margin Management

  • Partner with NPD and sales teams to optimise selling price, discount strategy, promotions, gross margins, markdown planning, and product mix

Inventory Finance

  • Work closely with Supply Chain on inventory investment, inventory ageing, dead stock, stock turns, replenishment planning, open-to-buy planning, and purchase planning

Statutory & Internal Audit

  • Coordinate and lead Internal Audit planning and execution; track findings through to closure with process owners
  • Lead Statutory Audit end-to-end — coordination with auditors, schedule preparation, and query resolution
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements applicable to the business (India)

Accounting & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC filings and compliance
  • Ensure payroll compliance

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial, foreign exchange, credit, fraud, and operational risks
  • Implement internal controls and governance

Business Partnering & Team Leadership

  • Partner with business heads and Group Finance leadership on financial planning and decision support
  • Build and mentor teams across Finance, Accounts, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Payroll

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost Accountant (ICWA)
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience — open to both strong Manager-level and Head-of-Function-level candidates, provided manufacturing, costing, and finance-ownership experience is a strong match to this role
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is mandatory
  • Strong working knowledge of BOM/costing, inventory management, and e-commerce finance
  • Preferred: strong e-commerce/D2C accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with statutory audits, internal audits, and MIS reporting
  • Working knowledge of standard costing and budget-vs-actual analysis
  • Preferred: prior experience with a Big 4 accounting/audit firm (KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PwC)
  • Preferred: experience working in a digital-first / digital business environment
  • Proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel; Desirable: exposure to Zoho Books or similar platforms

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost Accountant (ICWA)
  • Additional certifications in internal audit or costing are a plus
