Account Intern

About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Account Intern to join our team at AFY Haniff Group (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Melaka. As an Account Intern, you will be responsible for supporting our accounting operations and contributing to the overall success of our business. This is an internship role, offering you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the accounting field.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
2. Performing data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
3. Reconciling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions
4. Providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed
5. Participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes
6. Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
7. Contributing to the implementation of accounting procedures and controls

What we're looking for

1. Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Accounting or a related field
2. Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills
3. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Excellent time management and organisational skills
7. Passion for the accounting profession and a desire to learn and grow
