What they need
We are looking for an Account Manager – Client Relationships & Growth who is passionate about building relationships, understanding customers and finding opportunities to grow existing business.
This is a relationship-focused role. Your success will come from developing strong client relationships, earning repeat business and becoming a trusted resource for our customers.
The Role
As an Account Manager, you will manage and grow relationships with existing Divine customers.
Your primary focus will be:
· Retaining and strengthening existing customer relationships.
· Increasing repeat business and revenue within existing accounts.
· Proactively following up with clients before and after events.
· Understanding each client’s business, preferences and event requirements.
· Identifying opportunities to introduce additional products and services.
· Managing multiple client accounts and events from inquiry through completion.
· Working closely with Sales, Operations, Warehouse and Logistics.
· Maintaining accurate customer information and notes in our systems.
· Using previous event knowledge to anticipate future client needs.
Communication Is Key
- Strong communication skills are essential to this position.
- You must be comfortable communicating professionally with clients by phone, email and in person. More importantly, you need to be a good listener who can understand what a client actually needs, ask the right questions and follow through on commitments.
- You will often be the connection between the customer and our internal team, so accuracy, professionalism and responsiveness are critical.
Technology & Learning
You will be expected to become proficient with Divine’s technology and systems, including:
· Rentopian rental-management software.
· Floor-planning and event-layout programs.
· Customer/account-management tools.
· Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and other company systems.
We are looking for someone who can learn, retain and apply information.
Every event teaches us something. You should be able to remember client preferences, previous layouts, product selections, venue requirements and past challenges—and apply that knowledge to the next job.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
· Highly organized and detail-oriented.
· A strong communicator and active listener.
· Self-motivated and proactive.
· Comfortable working independently.
· Customer-focused and relationship-driven.
· Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· A quick learner who retains and applies information.
· Confident using computers and learning new software.
· A problem solver who takes ownership.
· Comfortable identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.
Event Experience Is an Asset — Not a Requirement
- Previous experience in event planning, event production, hospitality, furniture rental or a related industry is an asset, but it is not required.
- We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, communication skills, work ethic, organizational ability and willingness to learn.
- Experience with floor-planning software, event rentals or account management would be considered an advantage.
Why Join Divine?
At Divine, you won’t simply be managing accounts—you’ll be building relationships that directly contribute to the growth of the company.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
· Build long-term relationships with some of Toronto’s leading event professionals.
· Work in a fast-paced and varied environment where no two events are exactly alike.
· Learn the event rental business from the inside out.
· Develop your sales, account-management and business-development skills.
· Work closely with an experienced and collaborative team.
· Have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and company growth.
· Take ownership of your accounts and see the results of your work.
· Grow with a family-run company that values initiative, accountability and strong relationships.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual base salary of $60,000–$75,000, depending on relevant experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonus opportunities.
· Annual performance and compensation review.
- Company paid benefits plan
· Paid vacation and statutory holidays in accordance with Ontario employment standards.
· Company training and onboarding.
