What they need
About the role
Interpac is an Irish-owned dangerous-goods packaging and related compliance services provider, supporting customers with packaging, training, consultancy, audits, repacking and logistics coordination. As the services side of our business grows, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Account Manager to support the senior team and help manage day-to-day customer requirements.
This is a varied, customer-facing role covering account support, service coordination, training administration, international logistics and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) stock support. You will become a reliable day-to-day contact for assigned customers, ensuring enquiries are handled promptly, bookings and jobs are coordinated efficiently, customers are kept informed and agreed actions are followed through. Interpac will provide training and support in Dangerous Goods requirements and VMI processes.
Key responsibilitiesCustomer accounts and service coordination
· Act as a professional and reliable day-to-day contact for assigned customers, supporting the Services Lead in maintaining and developing key account relationships.
· Respond to customer enquiries, gather required information and coordinate requests across training, logistics, repacking, packaging, labels, VMI and other Interpac services.
· Prepare and issue routine quotations within agreed pricing parameters, keep customers updated and follow jobs through to completion and invoicing.
· Identify additional customer needs or service opportunities and raise them with the Services Lead.
Logistics, training and stock support
· Liaise with logistics partners to obtain rates and arrange international air and sea freight, including collections, deliveries and repack resources.
· Coordinate training administration, including bookings, delegate communications, venues, materials, attendance records, certificates, purchase orders and renewal records.
· Support customer-site stock counts for labels and other consumables, generally monthly or as required, and coordinate replenishment against agreed stock levels.
· Maintain accurate customer, booking and activity records in HubSpot and support quotation and invoicing administration in Xero. Escalate technical, compliance or non-standard commercial matters to the appropriate senior or qualified colleague.
What we're looking for:
Essential
· Relevant experience in customer service, account support, logistics, warehousing, stock control, freight coordination, procurement support or a closely related environment.
· Excellent communication and customer-service skills, with the confidence to build professional relationships by phone, email and in person.
· Strong organisation and attention to detail, with a dependable, proactive approach, ownership of agreed actions and care when handling customer information, pricing, shipment details, dates, booking records and stock information.
· Practical judgement and common sense: comfortable solving routine problems, following up consistently and recognising when an issue should be escalated.
· Comfort using digital systems and maintaining accurate records, with a willingness to learn HubSpot and Xero workflows.
· A full driving licence and the ability to attend customer sites as required. Access to a car is strongly preferred; authorised business mileage and travel costs will be covered.
· Ability to work predominantly from Interpac's Youghal office.
Desirable, but not essential
· A third-level qualification in business, logistics, supply chain, procurement, stock management or a related discipline.
· Experience supporting customer accounts or coordinating services across customers, suppliers and internal teams.
· Exposure to international air or sea freight, inventory control, dangerous goods, regulated logistics or another compliance-led environment.
· Experience using HubSpot, Xero or similar CRM, accounting or workflow platforms.
Training and development
Interpac will provide onboarding and relevant Dangerous Goods and VMI training, with scope to develop into broader account management, service operations or specialist Dangerous Goods responsibilities over time.
