Account Manager

Overview

Sri Lanka Street Food is a growing UK-based food business specialising in authentic Sri Lankan street cuisine. Operating across multiple locations including food trucks, catering services, and café operations, we are committed to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Management Consultant / Business Analyst to support financial analysis, business performance monitoring, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will help improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial reporting, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in financial reporting, business analysis, management accounting, and performance monitoring, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights that support business growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Financial Analysis

• Analyse financial performance across café operations, catering services, and food truck locations.
• Prepare and support monthly management accounts and financial reports to assist management in decision-making.
• Conduct variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to monitor business performance and profitability.
• Analyse sales trends, operational KPIs, and cost structures to identify opportunities for improvement.

Reporting & Strategic Support

• Produce management reports that support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow, cost control, and profitability analysis across the business.
• Assist in improving financial reporting systems and internal controls.
• Support senior management in developing business expansion strategies.

Systems & Data Management

• Use financial and reporting systems such as SAP, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reporting processes.
• Improve financial processes to increase reporting efficiency and operational transparency.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure financial records comply with UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support audit preparation and compliance reporting.
• Monitor VAT reporting, financial reconciliations, and internal financial controls.

Requirements

• Proven experience in financial analysis, management accounting, or business analysis.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial performance reports.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
