Custom Images is growing, and we're adding an account manager to our team in Greer. You'll start with an established group of client accounts and build them into a book that's yours. We're not hiring for a season. We're looking for someone who wants a career here measured in decades.

About us

Custom Images Inc. is a promotional products and branded merchandise distributor based in Greer, South Carolina. We help companies put their brand on apparel, gifts, uniforms, and company stores that people actually want to use.

Two sister companies work alongside us. Marina Embroidery handles embroidery, heat transfer, and laser engraving in house. SwagHQ runs our ecommerce and company store programs. That means you can sell a full program, from a single polo order to an online store, without handing your client off to anyone outside the building.

We're a family business and a Facilisgroup partner, part of a network of more than 200 leading independent distributors with access to more than 80 preferred suppliers. You get the buying power and tools of a much larger company, with the relationships of a local one.

What success looks like in year one

A year from now, you'll know your clients well enough to bring them ideas before they ask. You'll have grown the accounts you inherited, added new ones, and protected margin on every order. You'll know our decoration capabilities well enough to quote an embroidery job with confidence.

This path is real. One of our account managers went from new in the seat to a pace of more than $1M in annual sales within her first year.

What you'll own

• Your book. Be the primary point of contact for your client accounts, from first quote through delivery and reorder.
• Account growth. Bring new product ideas, programs, and company store opportunities to the clients you already serve.
• New business. Win new accounts through referrals, inbound leads, and your own outreach.
• Quotes that win and protect margin. Build quotes, presentations, and virtual samples that earn the order at a healthy price.
• Flawless execution. Partner with our CSR team, art department, and Marina production to keep every order accurate and on time.
• Your numbers. Track sales, margin, and reorder timing for every account in Syncore, our CRM and order entry system.

You'll report directly to the owner.

What we're looking for

Attitude matters most here. If you're early in your career, we'll teach you the business. We can't teach curiosity, follow through, or genuine care for the client.

Required

• A bachelor's degree.
• Promotional products experience from either side of the table: as an account manager or sales rep at a distributor or supplier, or as a buyer who ordered branded merchandise for a company. Entry level candidates with this exposure are welcome.
• Willingness to work full time from our Greer office.

Preferred

• Hands on knowledge of decoration methods such as embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer, or laser engraving.
• Experience with Syncore, or with other promo and ecommerce tools like OrderMyGear, BrightSites, ShipStation, ESP, or SAGE.
• Experience running company stores or online ordering programs.
• A track record of growing accounts, with numbers you can share.

Pay

Base salary of $45,000 to $65,000, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission. Commission is paid on top of base from the first dollar of sales. There is no threshold to clear, and the better the margin, the higher your rate.

Order margin - Commission on sales

40% and up: 6%

35% to 40%: 5%

30% to 35%: 4%

25% to 30%: 3%

Experienced account managers earn commission from day one. If you're new to the industry, commission begins after six months while you learn the business.

What that looks like: $1M in annual sales at mostly 35% to 40% margin earns roughly $45,000 to $50,000 in commission on top of base. We expect year one earnings of $75,000 to $90,000 for an experienced hire, and $100,000 or more for a fully built book.

Is this right for you?

This is an in office role, and that's on purpose. Our art, CSR, and production teams are steps away. You'll see a sew out before it ships, learn decoration from the people running the machines, and work directly with the owner every day.
