£75,000–£100,000 base + commission

This is a global provider of financial and alternative data to institutional investors. Several specialist data businesses have recently come together under one commercial team, so you can take a far broader offering into every client conversation.

What you’ll do

• Own a portfolio of existing buy-side clients, including multi-manager platforms, hedge funds, long-only managers and global asset managers
• Act as the single commercial lead for each account, replacing the old model of separate product teams covering the same firm
• Grow every relationship through cross-selling, upselling and renewals, with a clear focus on increasing net revenue retention
• Map client organisations and build relationships across portfolio managers, analysts, quant teams and data buyers
• Work closely with customer success, research and data science, sales development and product specialists to spot and close opportunities
• Hit targets on both net retention and gross new revenue, with commission tied to each

What you’ll bring

• Experience selling or managing data, research or information services into buy-side firms
• A sales mindset first: someone who sees an existing account as a place to win new revenue
• A solid understanding of how investment firms assess, trial and buy data, and the confidence to work through layered decision-making
• A background at an alternative data provider, expert network or similarly nimble data business is particularly welcome
• Drive, intellectual curiosity and a real appetite for earning on commission. Raw ability matters more than length of experience
