Account Manager

About the role

This role involves managing full sets of accounts, performing monthly closing activities, and ensuring accurate accounting records and financial reporting. You will handle bank reconciliations, prepare management accounts, assist with tax and audit compliance, manage accounts payable and receivable, and support internal controls and process improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

1. General Accounting & Month End Closing

• Handle full sets of accounts and maintain accurate accounting records
• Perform monthly closing activities, including Journal entries, accruals, prepayments and provisions
• Prepare and review General ledger reconciliations and balance sheets schedules
• Perform bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports

2. Tax, audit and compliance

• Assist in closing SST reporting and submission
• Assist in submit self-bill e-invoice
• Assist prepare audit schedule eg: Fixed assets listing, accrual, prepayment and exchange gain/loss listing

3. Accounts payable, receivables and cash flow

• Review payment schedules and ensure timely processing of payment
• Support banking facilities documentation Eg: LC application, BG application,
• Monitor accounts payables & accounts receivable balances

4. Internal controls and process improvement

• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to accounting procedure
• Ensure proper filling and maintenance of accounting records for audit purposes

About you

• Diploma in Accounting or Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Good knowledge of full set accounting and month end closing procedures
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet reporting deadlines
