Account Manager

Position Overview

The Accountant is responsible for reviewing all accounting transactions including AP, AR, general ledger and others. S/he will prepare month and year end financial statements as well as coordinate with auditors. S/he will also handle all tax related matters.

Responsibilities:

• Review the accuracy of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
• Review all general journal transactions such as tax, depreciation and adjusting entries.
• Review the bank reconciliation.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
• Perform month end closing and prepare financial statements: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
• Statement, and prepare cost accounting report.
• Perform year end closing and prepare financial statements for management review.
• Review all declared personal Income Tax, VAT and Corporate Income Tax Reports (yearly), and submit tax filling to the destination’s Revenue Department.
• Prepare all necessary documents and information yearly for audit both internal and external.
• Assist  in  preparing  statistical  reports  and  strengthen  good  relationship  with  relevant  local authorities.
• Apply and update the current / new national accounting standards to ensure the compliance with the compulsory financial reporting.
• Coordinate with other departments to check and ensure all input data are accurate.
• Perform any other duties requested by Accounting Manager/Chief Accountant or management.
• Responsible gift records
• Reduce printing with tax department: print only files which are audited

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting field.
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in Full function of Accounting and 2 years experience in a leadership role
• Registered as a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (C.A.[M]). would be an advantage
• Strong background experience in service industry, Travel industry experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of tax.
• Good command of English both written and spoken.
