Account Officer

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Accounting & Data Entry

• Process Invoices: Handle daily data entry for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Claims & Petty Cash: Check and record employee expenses and petty cash vouchers.
• Basic Matching: Download bank and e-commerce statements to do the first round of payment matching.

2. Audit & Document Control

• Filing System: Keep all physical and digital financial documents highly organized.
• Audit Support: Pull specific invoices, receipts, and vouchers requested by external auditors.
• Deadline Tracking: Help the Senior monitor the calendar for upcoming tax and SST filing dates.

3. Admin & General Support

• Banking: Handle basic banking tasks and physical document submissions.
• Data Prep: Extract raw data and set up basic Excel spreadsheets for the Senior to analyze.
• Ad-hoc Support : Provide support to various admin and ad-hoc tasks

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
• Knowledge of MPERS, Malaysian tax, and statutory requirements
• Experience in e-commerce accounting is an advantage
• Knowledge in AutoCount software will be an advantage
• Familiar with LHDN e-Invoice or willing to learn
• Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently, while maintaining a strong, up-to-date working knowledge of the latest regulatory requirements and guidelines.
