Account Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for local and overseas suppliers’ invoices and Goods Received Note.
• Data entry of all payment vouchers, debit advice, local and overseas invoices and journals.
• Reconciliation of statements of accounts for local and overseas suppliers.
• Check monthly trial balance, prepare monthly accounts payable schedules for local and overseas suppliers, update month-end exchange rates before revaluation, analyse goods in transit and miscellaneous receivable accounts.
• Maintenance and updating of fixed assets register by ensuring all files are properly updated.
• Preparation and updating of financial statements and general ledger.
• Preparation of bank balance reports and monitor the daily bank balances.
• Prepare year-end audit schedules as required by auditors.
• Assist in annual stock take and undertake projects as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements:

• Possess at least a Degree in Accountancy or Finance or professional qualification in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience. However, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software.
• Personal attributes: analytical, meticulous with an eye for details and ability to think logically.
