Account Payable Executive

The Role

Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations — data entry, bookkeeping, banking/cashflow processing, reconciliations, and monthly closing — ensuring accounting records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready, while supporting AP/vendor management and liaison with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and bankers.

What You'll Be Doing

1.      Perform accounting operations — data entry, document processing, and bookkeeping records, including cashflow and banking payment runs via banking platforms

2.      Perform monthly system reconciliation and inter-company (inter-co) reconciliation

3.      Perform monthly closing of accounts and prepare monthly management reports

4.      Ensure journal entries and account ledgers (GL, AP) are accurately and promptly recorded

5.      Process high-volume supplier invoices accurately and on time, within budget

6.      Manage vendor master data and ensure information accuracy

7.      Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly

8.      Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations

9.      Monitor and record fixed assets

10.      Maintain proper accounting records, documentation, and filing

11.      Maintain audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for audits

12.      Liaise with related departments, auditors, company secretary, tax agent, and bankers on accounting matters

13.      Assist with ad-hoc assignments as and when required

Who We're Looking For

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent
• Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage to support communication with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
• Minimum 2 years in accounting/finance; experience in monthly closing, payment processing, and bank reconciliation; multi-outlet or multi-company accounts experience is an advantage; audit experience preferred; fresh graduates encouraged to apply
• AutoCount Accounting Software and/or OBM Accounting Software (advantage); e-invoicing exposure is an added advantage
