Account Receivable _ Credit control

About the role

Expeditors (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Receivable - Credit Control professional to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This full-time position will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts receivable and credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of payments and maintaining a healthy cash flow.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, statement generation, and credit control
2. Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, liaising with customers to resolve any discrepancies
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts and payment histories
4. Analyse aging reports and take appropriate actions to minimise bad debt exposure
5. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
6. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts receivable function
7. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients

What we're looking for

1. Strong accountability of Accounts Receivable/Credit Control processes and best practices
2. Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve customer disputes
4. Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills until end to end resolution
5. Proactive and organised, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
