About the role

X Consultancy Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Supervisor to join our accounting team in Kepong Baru, Kuala Lumpur. As Accounts Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, supervising junior accounting staff, and maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage junior accounting staff, including task allocation, training, and performance monitoring

• Oversee bookkeeping operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions

• Review and reconcile accounts, bank statements, and ledgers to ensure completeness and accuracy

• Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Liaise with clients regarding financial queries and provide accounting support as needed

• Identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures to maintain financial integrity

• Stay updated with accounting regulations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role

• Proven supervisory experience managing accounting or finance teams

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with keen attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional certification such as AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) would be advantageous

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment

• Proficiency in English & Mandarin.
