Account Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of 3 Accounting Executives

• Allocate, monitor and review the team’s daily work

• Ensure daily, monthly and year-end accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time

• Review bookkeeping, AP, AR, bank reconciliations and general ledger

• Review monthly management accounts and supporting schedules

• Monitor cash-flow reporting and payment preparation processes

• Oversee e-Invoice administration and accounting compliance matters

• Review unusual, incomplete or outstanding transactions and ensure proper follow-up

• Coordinate with clients on accounting matters, documentation and outstanding issues

• Ensure important matters are highlighted to clients on a timely basis

• Maintain proper segregation of duties and internal controls

• Coordinate year-end closing, audit schedules and audit queries

• Support consolidation and management reporting where required

• Ensure proper documentation, filing and audit trail

• Coach and guide junior team members

What We Are Looking For

- Diploma / Degree / Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Relevant accounting experience, preferably with experience handling full sets of accounts

• Prior supervisory or team-leading experience is an advantage

• Good knowledge of AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation and month-end closing

• Able to prepare and review management accounts

• Familiar with Malaysian accounting and e-Invoice requirements

• Good Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience with accounting software will be an advantage

• Able to communicate professionally with clients

• Strong follow-up, problem-solving and organisational skills

• Able to work independently and manage deadlines

• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility
