Accountant - based in Bayan Lepas, Penang

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all financial, tax and company Secretarial, including but not limited to financial close processes, tax compliance and filings, Board of Directors meeting and accounts payable.

Accounting - Responsible for Taiwan, Korea, Qingdao, Foshan, Xiamen, Beijing and Chengdu (and subsequent assigned countries).

o   Full sets of accounts.

o   Fixed assets, entering journals, bank reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation & intercompany reconciliation.

o   Accounts Payable (processing invoices and payments).

o   Review employee expense claims.

o   Internal audit.

o   Liaising with third party advisors/bookkeepers on statutory requirements.

Tax - Working with tax advisors, responsible for all tax compliance, including, but not limited to, annual/quarter/month tax filings, etc.

Company Secretarial & other matters -

o   Ensure that Board of Directors and shareholder meetings, Board members changes, etc. are completed and filed on time.

o   Other matters - Ensure business license renewal, additional securities deposit for SEC compliance, etc. are completed and filed on time.

Payroll - Responsible for reviewing and approve payroll, including employee annual income return and all other statutory returns.

Accounting (other countries) - To assist as and when needed by Finance Manager or Director.

• To assist Internal Auditor team in audit at sub-con sites and/or distributor sites
• Any other duties may be assigned by Finance Manager or Director.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience, with at least 1 year of experience in a Big Four or second-tier accounting firm.
• Language Requirement: Fluency in Mandarin is required for regular communication with Greater China stakeholders and to support regional accounting matters.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and other relevant functions.
• Experience with Oracle is preferred.
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willing to work full-time on-site, as the role requires regular presence at the workplace.
• Must be willing to be based in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
