Key responsibilities

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information.
• Preparing income tax returns for all business structures.
• Tax planning with clients.
• Preparing financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.

About you

• A minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in an External Accounting environment, or a professional services firm within Australia.
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business and/or Commerce.
• Completion or near completion of CAANZ Program is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience using Xero, MYOB and other computer based accounting software.
• Have advanced excel and word skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Be self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines.
