Accountant - Business Services

KeyMoves Recruitment are partnering with a highly regarded accounting firm in Melbourne’s South East to recruit an experienced Accountant/Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in delivering both compliance and business services, while managing your own client work and building strong client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns
• Preparation of SMSF financial statements and annual returns
• Independently completing jobs ready for manager review
• Identifying tax risks and non-compliance issues
• Assisting with the preparation of practical tax and business advice
• Providing business services to a diverse range of clients
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Working closely with managers and the wider team to deliver quality client outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• 3–5 years’ experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm
• Strong technical tax and business services knowledge
• Hands-on experience preparing SMSF financial statements and annual returns
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Experience using Xero and Xero Practice Manager
• Experience with BGL Simple Fund 360 and NowInfinity would be advantageous
• Mandarin speaking, reading and writing skills are preferred but not mandatory
• A proactive attitude with the ability to build strong client relationships
