Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our team at Ekspres Bahagia Langkawi in Langkawi, Kedah. This is a full-time opportunity where you will play a crucial role in our financial accounting and reporting operations.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Conducting financial analysis and preparing budgets, forecasts, and projections
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
• Providing support to the finance team and collaborating with other departments as required
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient accounting practices

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the financial accounting and reporting domain
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
