Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. Duties

• Prepare, review, and record journal entries with accuracy, ensuring proper double entry bookkeeping practices.
• Conduct account reconciliation procedures for balance sheets and general ledger accounts to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
• Maintain and update financial data using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Ceridian, PeopleSoft, Kronos, UltiPro, Paychex, and other financial systems.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and governmental accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities through detailed account analysis and financial reporting.
• Handle confidential information responsibly while providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with internal audits and external regulatory reviews by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Utilize Excel data analysis skills for financial modeling, variance analysis, and reporting insights that inform strategic decisions.

Skills

• Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles including GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Paychex, Ceridian, PeopleSoft.
• Experience with governmental accounting standards is a plus.
• Excellent data entry skills combined with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and spreadsheet management.
• Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining high levels of accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Strong numeracy skills with a solid grasp of debits & credits, math fundamentals related to accounting transactions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and provide clear explanations of financial data.
• Prior experience in public accounting or bookkeeping roles is highly desirable.

Pay: $669,264.32 - $783,415.10 per year
