Accountant

About the role

Reporting to the Dealer Principal and Chief Finance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial information while supporting business performance across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts
• Maintaining general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Managing fixed assets and accruals
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Monitoring cash flow and assisting with treasury functions
• Ensuring compliance with financial policies, taxation, and statutory requirements
• Assisting with audit preparation and external reporting requirements
• Analysing financial results and providing insights to management
• Identifying process improvement opportunities and strengthening financial controls

About you

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Previous accounting experience, ideally within a commercial environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• A proactive and positive approach to work
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the automotive industry would be beneficial but is not essential
